On September 30, Canadians are encouraged to wear orange to remember the wrongs of the residential school system and honour its survivors. The date was chosen because it is the time of year in which children were taken from their homes to residential schools, and because it is an opportunity to set the stage for anti-racism and anti-bullying policies for the coming school year.

Below are some of our products that can foster discussion and education around this important topic.

About Our Orange Shirt Day Banner

With a sorrowful heart for all the children, this Orange Shirt Day, we continue to connect the struggles from Turtle Island to Palestine. We are honored to share a Coast Salish and Palestinian collaboration to buy an orange shirt featuring a wolf design by Coast Salish comrade/artist Wuswas (Nora Pape) — with a little watermelon nestled in its heart. 100% of the profits of these shirts will be shared with Defence for Children International – Palestine and Urban Native Youth Association.
